I met DeAnna many years ago and just love her smile and energy! Thank goodness for social media and technology as they allow us to stay in touch even when in-person opportunities aren't always an option.

I asked DeAnna our Signature Spotlight questions and this is what she had to say:
LBDSAW: Choose 3 words to describe yourself.
DEANNA: Motivated. Creative. Compassionate.
LBDSAW: How would you describe your personal style?
DEANNA: My personal style is becoming more fun and effortless yet refined. I am more confident in the woman I am and I want my personal style to reflect that. I have slowly been integrating more classic pieces into my wardrobe that I can dress up or down while feeling put together without having to think too hard about every outfit. My favorite thing to do is wear a neutral colored outfit and add pops of color/fun prints with my shoes or bag.
LBDSAW: If you are a salad lover, tell us what you'd have in your Signature Salad.
DEANNA: My signature salad is my version of Panera's Fuji Apple salad. It consists of mixed greens, apples, dried cranberries, sharp cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette or the fuji apple salad dressing from Panera. I love the sweetness of the apples and cranberries that pairs perfectly with the tartness of the dressing and creaminess of the cheese. It's so good! If I'm feeling fancy, I'll add a piece of salmon😁
LBDSAW: If you are a wine lover, do you prefer red or white?
DEANNA: I'm typically a white wine lover (usually a Moscato) but the one brand of red wine that I found that I actually like is Cantina Sociale Malvasia Di Casorzo.
LBDSAW: If you were to create a signature cocktail, what would be in it (with or without alcohol works)?
DEANNA: Blueberry Lavender syrup, lemonade, key lime sparkling water (if I wanted it to be a cocktail, I would do a sparkling wine instead of the sparkling water.
LBDSAW: Where is your favorite place to dine?
DEANNA: One of my favorite places to dine is Tampico Grill in Laurel, MD. It's a great place if you like Tex -Mex style food. The service, food and drinks are always amazing! My favorite dish there is the Bean and Cheese Burrito with Ranchera sauce.
LBDSAW: What travel destination has been your favorite?
DEANNA: I love traveling to places that have beautiful bodies of water (typically waterfalls or oceans with blue water). My top 3 places are Puerto Rico, Grand Turk and the Bahamas.
LBDSAW: Where haven't you been that you'd like to explore?
DEANNA: I would love to visit different places in Europe! My top three are France (I'm open to the countryside or Paris), Italy and Great Britain. I also would love to go to more tropical places like Jamaica and the Virgin Islands.
LBDSAW: What makes you feel the happiest? (Not a person)
DEANNA: I feel the happiest when I'm doing something that brings me joy and being my authentic self! This can be enhanced when I get to share those joyful experiences with people I love, but they are not the sole source of the feeling of happiness.
LBDSAW: What do you enjoy most about being an Designer/Artist?
DEANNA: I enjoy the entire process of taking something that was an idea, dream or concept and bringing it into the physical world. When I create, it's very healing for me and I know there is someone that could hopefully find healing in it as well.
LBDSAW: What advice would you give to someone pursuing their passion & purpose?
DEANNA: Share your passions with the world! Not only is it good for your soul, but it can also help someone else or be good for that person's soul as well. There's always gonna be someone that will be upset that you chose to follow your dreams and they didn't; only they can do something to change that for themselves.
LBDSAW: What's next for you?
DEANNA: We are continuing to spread the word about DFA by participating at more events/Pop Ups. We also have some new projects in the works to expand our offerings, so stay tuned! All updates are shared with our Facebook, Instagram page and Email subscribers.
