Jazzy Summer Nights

Updated: Jan 10

Tank And The Bangas Were Bangin'!

Yesterday, I contemplated whether I would head out to experience Jazzy Summer Night's opening event due to air quality concerns. I decided to go because I felt a blessing was waiting for me. That blessing came when I stopped at Nick's Fish House (it was my first visit by the way) to grab a Happy Hour bite to eat, capture content for LBDSAW and map out my plan to attend the event.

“Within an hour, we were shaking our heads and raising our hands in praise to the sky as we knew that this encounter was meant to be.”

You see, Jazzy Summer Nights draws BIG crowds. My plan was to go, grab some great content for myself and a client then head on out. I'd never experienced the headliners, Tank and The Bangas. Let me tell you, they showed out!! But, in a minute. Back to the initial blessing. (Notice that I said initial. There were several blessings, y'all.)

When I arrived at Nick's Fish House, I mentioned to the Host that it was my first visit. She gave me a quick overview of the outside bar area (there are 3 bars outside. THREE!). As I strolled through, I ended up at the last bar where the Bartender, James, was ready to serve. I was told that I'd be charged for his jokes after about 5 of them. Needless to say, he provided great laughs at no charge. Thanks, James!

I'll fast forward this novel by saying that I connected with Carla at the bar while she waited for Patrice to head over to the event. Within an hour, we were shaking our heads and raising our hands in praise to the sky as we knew that this encounter was meant to be.

I believe that I am being called to action to live in my passion and purpose in every second of every day. I'm listening, God and am ready for continued blessings.

To sum the evening up, Tank and The Bangas have a new admirer in me. They lit up the stage LITERALLY in their metallic gear and just let the good times roll. Thanks to The Finn Group for an awesome gathering and to Chenire Carter for being the BOSS that you are and including me in the experience. The blessing is that I got to actually enjoy the experience and not just work, see people that I haven't seen in years and be blessed by more conversations and interactions with good folks. Thank you, God!

On to the next blessing! Happy Friday, Good Folks!! - Original Post: June 9, 2023
