“If you are using a filter, make sure it looks like the person...just a little more polished!" - MRM x LBDSAW
QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE:
People
1. Take at least 3 pics & count them down to draw focus. At least 1 person’s eyes
will be closed without direction. And, make sure that the light/sun is on you instead
of behind you. Thank me later!
2. If you are using a filter, make sure it still looks like the person...just a little more
polished.
3. Practice your selfies or have a signature pose for those quicker than quick pics on the go or while taking pics with others.
Places
4. Be sure to capture angles instead of straight on shots. It looks more elevated.
5. Move with your video shots to give a more cinematic look. It’s way cool!
6. Leave open space in the footage to include text or to layer images/videos.
Things
7. Zoom in to capture the details, then zoom in some more!
8. Look for the 'special' in the things. It will make for great memories.
9. Slow Motion shots are EPIC. Check to see what your phone’s capabilities are to getthe slow mo vibes.
Bonus Tip
10. Clean your camera lens. Don’t forget the b-roll. Capture Vertical (Portrait) and Horizontal (Landscape) footage. Shorten your video clips to under 10 seconds each
for Social Media Reels (it makes the editing much easier). Have fun! Oh, and nothing beats natural lighting. Seek it out!
