Hot, Hot & More Hot...
So, the plan was to spend the day by the pool with my guest, Caits, at Fontainebleau Miami Beach while we scouted spots for 2024 happenings, but that sun had other plans. When I tell you that beads, pearls and buckets of sweat decided to make their way down my back & face at the speed of light, you must believe it to be true. We headed for cover to La Côte, the Mediterranean Oceanside Bistro, before the actual rain showers made their quick debut.

We stayed outside long enough to enjoy some food, drinks and conversations with some folks that were enjoying the shaded bar. Just a few feet away was the beach, so I took a stroll and enjoyed my moment with a view. Back at the bar though, even Cait's travel fan wasn't enough to beat the Miami heat, and I'm still trying to figure out how the folks to the right and left of us were cool as cucumbers. They must have been locals. Ha!
Eventually, we had to head inside to cool off before making the airport run to get Caits on her way. Chez Bon Bon was a delight, even though I didn't try any of the sweet treats. Next time, it's on!
I'm looking forward to circling back to this iconic hotel to enjoy the full experience that this beauty has to offer. The hotel is so expansive that they provide you with a map. I can imagine concierge saying "This is where you are right now." -- as they 'X' mark the spot. I'll be following that map right to the spa, pool and maybe even to LIV, the nightlife venue, and experience one of many live performances that happen there year-round. Be sure to grab your fan and ANY frozen drink if you head there during or near the Summer months, cuz' it's going to be hot, hot, hot!! Enjoy!
