I've known Alesha for many years. She has included me on the most special dates of her life. She keeps me busy with photoshoot experiences as her makeup artist, photographer and Creative Director.

As an Event Planner, Alesha has vision and brings amazing experiences to life. Our latest adventure was at the Museum for Black Girls in DC. We asked Alesha our Signature Spotlight questions and this is what she had to say!
LBDSAW: Choose 3 words to describe yourself.
ALESHA: Connector, purposeful, and empathetic
LBDSAW: How would you describe your personal style?
ALESHA: Classic with a touch of flair. I love a classic silhouette and sweetheart neckline, but I will have a fun printed accent piece in my closet.
LBDSAW: If you are a salad lover, tell us what you'd have in your Signature Salad.
ALESHA: I love a crispy, crunchy salad. A classic Caesar with garlic croutons or shaved brussels sprouts salad.
LBDSAW: If you are a wine lover, do you prefer red or white?
ALESHA: White. Riesling or Pinot Grigio
LBDSAW: If you were to create a signature cocktail, what would be in it (with or without alcohol works)?
ALESHA: It would be a Mai Tai. Something sweet that sneaks up on you.
LBDSAW: Where is your favorite place to dine?
ALESHA: In the city. I love restaurants with a beautiful waterfront view at night.
LBDSAW: What travel destination has been your favorite?
ALESHA: Definitely Hawaii. I loved every minute of that place.
LBDSAW: Where haven't you been that you'd like to explore?
ALESHA: I’d love to finally make it to Morocco or the Canary Islands.
LBDSAW: What makes you feel the happiest? (Not a person)
ALESHA: Feeling appreciated. I’m a giver and enjoy creating a safe space and experience for others. I don’t always give that love and attention to myself. When I get it back, I’m so appreciative. It’s the same reaction every time—pure joy.
LBDSAW: What do you enjoy most about being an Event Planner?
ALESHA: When I craft and execute an experience that can positively change someone’s mood/day/outlook means everything to me. And making connections with other likeminded people is an added bonus.
LBDSAW: What advice would you give to someone pursuing their passion & purpose?
ALESHA: Learn to pivot. Every event will not be the same. The event you plan will have a different audience, reception, and lesson learned. Take the positive from each experience and apply your lessons learned into your planning.
LBDSAW: What's next for you?
ALESHA: I’ve focused on creating a better understanding of logistics. I started my journey as an event planner as a creative outlet. Now that I’ve built great connections, it’s time to think bigger. The best way to accomplish larger events and more outreach is better behind the scenes production. I’m focused on building a solid business plan, good connections, and formula for certain events.
