Nick's Fish House

Updated: Jan 10

Oysters & Mussels & Crabs, Oh My!

So...an Engineer, a Sailor and an Assistant Director walk into a bar... Quite literally, folks.

“The moral of the story is to live in the moment. Say hello. Offer a chair. Catch your bar mate's napkin that flies across the bar because the wind was wind-ing!”

I am incredibly tickled that this LBDSAW ride is consistently delivering blessings. One conversation after another. Another person moved by the moment. Beautiful tears shed. Well wishes all around. We are living with intention. Talking about the things that are on our hearts. We are being present. We are changing each others lives...for the better.

I grew up just over the bridge from Nick's Fish House, but my first visit was last week. I can't get over the fact that this little gem was right in my backyard all along. Now, I've been gone for a long time, but I frequent the area enough to have experienced this before.

Nick's Fish House hides behind the Hanover Street Bridge within the Baltimore Peninsula which houses Sagamore Spirit Distillery, living, retail and more. My intention was to grab a quick bite before heading to another destination to capture content for LBDSAW. Everything that was needed was right there all along.

Although I only had the AMAZING buffalo wings (I am definitely going to try seafood the next time), each and every one of my bar mates let me take photos/videos of their delights. When I tell you that Nick's plating of food looks like you're at a formal dining experience, I'm not joking. Every dish was photoshoot ready. Thank you to Sundra, John, Tom, Colin, Shayla and Ro for being contributors on this LBDSAW journey...many of who were just passing through before heading back to their hometowns. Many thanks to our bartenders Lizzy and Remini (you must check out her crab-cracking skills on our IG page @lbdsaladsandwine -- she's a beast). I even briefly saw James who was my bartender last week.
