The Guide: Santa Fe Depot (Train Ride from Los Angeles to San Diego)

Updated: May 29

Train Station

I had the best train ride from Los Angeles Union Station to Santa Fe Depot in San Diego to meet with a client and friend for a photoshoot project. At one point, I had the curtains drawn. Something told me to look up and out. There it was! The most beautiful, longest stretch of the sun, beach and water that I could see almost as clearly as if I were right outside.

The train ride is just shy of 3 hours, is under $40 and was truly so peaceful. I plan to make that trip again and again when I head back to Los Angeles...even if only for the ride.

Check out the other San Diego Blog posts for more on the adventure. WNDR, The Islander and The Navy Pier
